Guru Purnima 2022

GURU IS A TRADITION : A STREAM OF KNOWLEDGE

Purnima means a full moon day, and according to the Indian calendar, we celebrate it on this month.  This day has always been devoted to recognizing, respecting, and honouring the Guru.

The Guru introduces you to the guru within you which is your own conscience and says,"Look within and be guided by this.”  The Guru guides you, inspires you and gives you the strength. The strength which is already within you.

Guru Purnima is a day that reminds us that the purpose of life is to attain knowledge which dispels the darkness of ignorance.  The word guru  is a pious and holy word which means the source of knowledge.

There is only one life force so there is only one guru.  Deep within the center of our being resides the guru.  Let us all direct and guide our energy to the center from where consciousness flows.

Salutation to Guru: who is the bliss of the Brahman.

Who is the Absolute: who is the Embodiment of wisdom.

Who is the bliss of Brahman: the bestower of supreme joy.

Who is beyond duality: who is expansive like sky.

Who is indicated by Mahavakyas like Tat-Tvam-Asi ( that thou art)

Who is ONE: who is eternal: stainless: immovable

Who is witness to the intelligence of all beings

Who is beyond emotions: who is free from three gunas.

Salutations to that guru
